The Anonymity of People

People in large cities are everywhere and all around us. We see them everywhere and all the time, often daily, yet they're anonymous to us. Just who are they?

Living in large cities exposes us to the sights and sounds and experiences of the many people who live there alongside us. We all go about our lives, commuting to work, conduct our business, hurry to here or there, grab lunch or a drink or we just idle by. We have all that in common, yet more often than not, these people are unknown to us. They're anonymous.

For one of my first-year projects, I set out to document twelve of these anonymous people, capturing their very anonymity in the photographs I took of them. Shot in digital and post-processed to black and white for artistic merit. I hope you enjoy.
